About Mike

I’m Mike. Institute changed my life, and I am so excited to be here…again! After serving a full-time mission in the islands of French Polynesia, I met my dream girl and future wife Cindy at this very Institute. At WSU I received an accounting degree and an MBA before pursuing a career with the Church’s Seminary and Institute programs. I have taught seminary classes locally for over 20 years (Morgan, Ogden, Weber, Roy, Syracuse, and Fremont High Seminaries) and I love the youth and young adults of the church. We live in Riverdale and are the parents of four incredible children. We love to travel, seeing the beauties of the world and experiencing different cultures together.  I also love games of strategy, pickleball, BBQ sauce, and black pepper. I’ve learned for myself that the Savior, Jesus Christ, and His restored gospel is the strongest and surest foundation there is. I’ve needed to rely on Him throughout my life and every time I do, life is better. In difficult trials, I have received peace in Christ and He is the reason I am so happy.
