About Kenra
Kenra was raised in Plain City, UT and graduated from Fremont High School, and then Ogden Technical College in 2016 in Graphic Design. She began working for the Institute in 2019 and also teaches graphic design at her Alma Mater, Ogden Tech. She is also currently enrolled at Western Governer’s in their Software Engineering program.
She has served as Relief Society President twice in her young single adult wards but is currently serving in her dream calling as a Sunday School instructor.
Kenra’s curiosity and love for life has gotten her into a multitude of hobbies and interests so that her life is never boring. She’s a big nerd who loves a lot of different things and wishes a time turner existed so she had time to pursue all of her interests equally. She spends her free time reading (she read 154 books in 2023), writing (she has particpated in National Novel Writing Month every year since she was 15), sword-fighting (specifically the German long sword), playing video games, crocheting, roller-skating and camping. She’s a big music junkie and attends concerts as often as she can. Kpop is one of her favorite genres and has seen BTS live, but her favourite group is NCT (look them up, you won’t regret it). She also is learning Korean, Mandarin and Irish because why not? Also her favourite colour is green and has made that her entire personality and it’s probably a little unhealthy that she does that.
While most people may consider Disneyland as the happiest place on earth, Kenra would prefer to say that the Renaissance Faire is in fact the happiest place on earth and attends at least one every year. She also has been playing Dungeons and Dragons with the same group for six years and loves causing chaos.
Kenra loves working for the institute and loves meeting and getting to know the students as much as she loves her hobbies and hopes she can instill a sense of belonging for anyone who comes into the Institute. Come stop by and say hi, she loves talking to you about what’s going on in your life!
