About Kirk

Brother Smith is a native of Ogden,  though he is ever so thankful that at the age of 13 his parents moved to Kaysville where he met the love of his life, Annalisa Felt, at Davis High School.   Their first date was Jr. Prom their junior year, and after missions to England for Brother Smith, and China for Sister Felt, the two married in the Salt Lake Temple six months after Sister Felt returned from Hong Kong.  They are the parents of five amazing children (eight when you count in-laws) and have been blessed with three (almost four) beautiful grandchildren.  They are celebrating 35 years of marriage this year.

Brother Smith loves any water sport and, were it not for his knowledge of Heavenly Father’s plan, he may have thought he was a sea creature in a former life.  He also loves volleyball, pickleball, tennis, cycling, gardening, reading and spending time with family.  He also loves golf, but he is terrible on the golf course!

Most of all, Brother Smith loves the Savior and the great opportunity he has to testify of Him every day!  Brother Smith feels that teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to youth and young adults these past 30 years has been one of the greatest joys one could have; he loves teaching students with adapted needs, and counts it a tremendous blessing to be with them and learn from them!  “Never suppress a generous thought” – Camilla Kimball
