About James
James is in his 4th year teaching at the Weber Institute. He met his wife Vari in their YSA ward. His YSA church calling was “good date coordinator?!” They have five children, five chickens and one dog. He grew up in West Jordan, Utah. Before serving a full-time mission in Saint Petersburg, Russia, he attended one year at Ricks College. After his mission he attended BYU while teaching Russian at the MTC. He enjoyed working as an EFY counselor. He received his bachelor’s degree in finance from BYU and his master’s degree from Utah State in instructional technology. Some of his favorite work assignments are: institute council advisor, FSY Session Director, website creator and self-appointed blind date setter-upper. After 22 years in South Weber, his family recently moved to West Haven. He loves cheering on his children in all their activities. He enjoys tennis, basketball, watching the news, college football and chess videos.
